A little catch up for you all of our time in Asia so far……

So, to take my mind off of the bug and lizard situation that was controlling my life here for a couple of weeks, I decided to learn how to make a video properly and edit some of the HOURS of footage we’ve taken on our little video camera since we’ve been here.Just to give you guys an idea of what we’ve been up to so far.

Plenty more to come so keep checking back!

Cu Chi Tunnels- Vietnam

We’ve been busy bees gigging almost every night and getting the album ready for the launch but we finally got a day off to do a tiny bit of travelling round Vietnam… We went to the legendary Cu Chi Tunnels where the Vietnamese lived underground to defeat the US in the Vietnam war. It was a lesson in history… and claustrophobia!!

Here’s a short video of our trip!!

At what I first imagined was a shower for your feet or a semi-mobile, semi-automatic .50 cal beday turned out to be a magical device that the cleaning fairies in most parts of the world are lacking!

One day when I was side-saddling the toilet (too close to the wall to get my legs around) I left (how shall I put this) porcelain bowl paths?? and began the usual solution of using the placed (note picture) dunny brush. After the task was complete I thought “hey there’s a mini shower to wash the brush… or is it for the paths?” since then, my post poo toilet chore has been effortless and hygeinic.

Note: No member of Rubylux will be held responsible for anyone who tries to use this device “pre flush” and ends up with some weird eye-poo infection.

Falling in love with Ho Chi Minh more every day!

We ate “on the streets” tonight after another amazing gig at the Hard Rock.

The eating establishment was situated on a road… outside a day market with bendy plastic seats and what seemed to be a Vietnamese version of a black and decker workmate with a cloth over it. Obviously this was uncomfortable for Ad, but he plucked the courage to dine on some traditional spring rolls… he didn’t choose noodle soup because he thought it was just dirty water. Best noodles ever!

Definitely one of the best meals I’ve had in a while!!

Ahh… the power has just tripped out in our apartment… might have to wait till morning to post this…

Good night! good morning or good evening wherever you are!

… let’s hope that it wasn’t dirty water hey… the toilet paper is too thin here…

Ohh the power is back.
